Custom Thermoformed Blister Packs
As part of our medical device packaging services, Janco Medical manufactures blister packaging using in-house thermoforming. We thermoform plastic sheets such as PET, PETG, HIP, and PVC into three-dimensional cavities designed around each product’s geometry.
We support multiple blister pack styles, including:
- Traditional face-seal blister packs (plastic blister sealed to a cardboard backing)
- Trapped blisters (plastic trapped between two layers of board with custom die cutting)
- Full-face seal and full-card blisters (plastic covers the entire card or backer)
Our materials expertise allows us to specify plastics with biocompatibility, anti-static, fire-retardant, impact, or abrasion-resistant properties.
Cleanroom and Medical-Grade Packaging Integration
These blister packs are produced within Janco’s ISO 14644-1 Class 7 and Class 8 cleanrooms in a facility that is FDA registered and ISO 13485 certified.
We guide material selection, sourcing, labeling, printing, and prototyping to ensure packaging is compatible with sterilization methods such as ethylene oxide, gamma, E-beam, peroxide, dry heat, and autoclave.
